2016-01-15 - From Encyclopedia of the American Theatre Organ, Vol. II by David L. Junchen:
"The case of Earl Pavette is a rather sad story. Having helped Sandy Balcom install Kimball theatre organs in the Seattle area, he longed to be an organ builder himself. The only organ he ever built was a 2/8 for the Kent Theatre in Kent, Washington in 1928. It contained Gottfried pipework and other new and used parts.
"For a short time Mr. Pavette represented Moller but he wasn't much more successful selling Mollers than he was at selling his own instruments. In the depth of the Depression Sandy Balcom discovered that Pavette was burning organ chests and parts to keep warm, after which Sandy purchased his remaining inventory to help him out. Earl Pavette finally died in the mid-1930s, a victim of tuberculosis." -Database Manager
