NOTES The organ was located in the chancel, on right (Epistle) side of the altar, in one of two identical extant chambers. Each chamber has two openings, a smaller one facing the altar and a larger one facing the nave; each opening is behind its own ornamental grill. According to the church's late organist, Inez Carlson, the organ had a pedal 32' that "made the pews rumble,” Deagon Chimes,1 and a Vox Humana that “sounded like a nanny goat.” The 32’ would have been a resultant; the chimes were incorporated into the church’s present organ, which was installed in 1966. Above is a hypothetical specification, representing a typical twelve-rank, circa 1926 Hillgreen, Lane & Co. organ. [Received from Ronald Swedlund]
