Notes

2016-06-05 - Altered and relocated existing organ. Identified by Mark Kieffer, using information found in Dedication Bulletin in church archive.

The provenence of this organ is puzzling. Some church publications say that the organ was originally installed in the Rivoli Theater in New York City in 1917 as Austin Op. 709. That organ was removed in 1924 and replaced with a Wurlitzer. Austin Op. 709 is listed in this database as having been moved to the John Lindgren residence in Minneapolis.

The organ described above which was at Central from 1927-1963 was an Austin purchased from somewhere, moved, altered and installed in Central Lutheran's new sanctuary in Minneapolis by Harry Iverson in the winter of 1927-1928. -Database Manager

2017-05-07 - Originally installed in the Rivoli Theatre (originally named Triumph Theatre, but name changed just prior to opening) in 1917 as a 4/33 for $30,000; replaced by a Wurlizter in 1924 and moved to the Lindgren Residence in Minneapolis; moved 1927-1928 to the new sanctuary of Central Lutheran Church, Minneapolis; replaced by 4/108 Casavant Op. 2722 in 1963. -Database Manager
