Notes

2016-06-17 - In 1845 Mr. Roswell Colt [a prominent industrialist] gave a lot worth $300 and $150 in cash for the purchase of an organ; $750 was raised and the organ set up in the church. This organ [by Thomas Hall] was burned in the fire of 1850. A new organ was undoubtedly purchased for the new [1852] church." --Rev. Clarence E. N. Macartney, History of the First Presbyterian Church of Paterson, New Jersey (Paterson: The Church, 1913), pp. 18-19. -Database Manager
