2016-08-23 - An original installation. Identified by Steve Bartley, using information found in Sun Paper 1/28/1851 pg.2 & 4/6/1854.<br><br>Sun Paper 1/28/1851 pg.2 "....The next instrument exhibited was an organ of immense proportions,designed for the new Trinity (Catholic) Church, of Georgetown, D.C. This contains 24 stops, with pipes 18 feet high, large enough to admit a man, and supplied with a double set of keys. The case is 11 feet wide,18 feet high and 8 feet deep. One of the stops is novel and styled the "viol d' amour". breathes forth the most delicious strains, to modulate which, may be done with singular case.<br><br>The case which encloses it displays the inviting proportions of old Roman architecture, and will ornament the interior of any church. It will be finished in a few weeks, and then sent to Georgetown. It is valued at $3,000......" Sun Paper 4/6/1854 "A contract has been made with Mr. H. F.
