2007-12-10 - From the Phelps web site: "The colossal Phelps organ at Oral Roberts University, shown in the photo above, is officially for sale." AND "This organ was the largest mechanical action organ built in the United States at the time it was installed. There was also a Wurlitzer Theatre Organ behind the grille off to the sides. The theatre organ console could play both organs because the main mechanical action instrument also had electric action capabilities. The theatre organ has since been sold and removed." -Database Manager
2018-06-06 - Updated by Reginald Hulsey, who has heard or played the organ. The organ is hidden behind screens on the stage. The Positiv division pipes and casework have been removed, and there is damage to the existing facade pipes. -Database Manager
2024-06-12 - Updated through online information from Joseph Rulli (June 12, 2024): I visited this instrument on June 10, 2024. The instrument is no longer playable and part of what appears to be what would have been a Ruckpositive division has been disassembled. The university has no plans to revive the instrument. Most of the facade is covered with large video screens. -Jim Stettner
