Notes

2017-02-27 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.
Identified by Timothy E. Conyers, listing this web site as a source of information: http://www.nativity-indy.org/the-organ/.
The first place of worship for this congregation was an old barn built of Indiana limestone. The church name was chosen as a result of this humble beginnings. Renovations to the building were completed in 1960 and a Wicks pipe organ of four ranks was installed in the nave. A new nave was constructed in 1993. The Wicks instrument remained in the old nave while a new electronic console was installed in the new nave.
In 1999 a generous gift from a church member launched a project to combine the two organs into a single instrument. The current organ is a hybrid instrument. -Database Manager
