2023-05-27 - According to Jim Taylor of J. C. Taylor Organbuilders, this organ was acquired from a former organist of Grace Lutheran Church after it had been stored assembled for many years in his barn. Grace Lutheran purchased a new Moller organ in the 1960s, making this one redundant. The organist didn't want to see the instrument consigned to the junk heap and acquired it for himself. Mr. Taylor stated that a raccoon had built a nest in amongst the pipework when he first saw the instrument. The instrument is currently in the possession of Wahl Organbuilders of Appleton, Wisconsin, who have it offered for sale on their website. -Josh Sellner
