2017-05-05 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.<br> Identified by Eric J. Gastier, who gave this as the source of the information: Schantz Organ Company archives.<br>This organ was either tracker or tubular pneumatic key action and tubular pneumatic stop action. Compass was 61/30. The organ stood in the upper rear gallery and had a facade including portions of the Great 16' and 8' Open Diapasons. The keydesk was reversed and built into the face of the case. Most of the pipework (28 or 29 ranks) and the most of the case were extant in 2017. The Schantz archives include several engineering drawings and a sales brochure photograph of the facade in situ. -Database Manager
