2017-05-07 - The legendary theatre organist George Wright created a 3/28 organ that was installed in the former Leslie Organ Speaker factory (Don Leslie and Wright were friends). Wright purchased the 2/10 Wurlitzer Op. 1926 (1926) that was built for the Dimond [sic] Theatre in Oakland, California. He then added select ranks and parts from various organs, and the 3-manual Wurlitzer Op. 2035 console from KNBC Radio, San Francisco, that was originally in the Paramount Studios, Los Angeles. When completed, the organ had 28 ranks. The organ was destroyed by fire on August 17, 1970. -Database Manager
