Notes

2017-06-04 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.
Identified by William Dunklin, citing information from this publication: a vintage postcard.
A vintage postcard shows a two-manual pipe organ standing at the right of an Akron plan auditorium. The un-decorated pipe fence fills the archway. The attached console has tilting tablets above the swell manual. Modern photographs show the same casework still exists below the impost, but the facade pipes have been replaced with grill work. -Database Manager

2017-06-12 - Updated by Eric J. Gastier, who gave this as the source of the information: Schantz Organ Company archives.
This 1910 Schantz organ was "overhauled" by Schantz in 1941, and was replaced by Schantz #317 II/15 in 1956. -Database Manager
