Notes

2017-06-06 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.<br> Identified by Michael Retka, who has heard or played the organ. -Database Manager

2024-10-07 - Several years ago the church replaced part of the Wicks relay with a solid state one but left parts of the original one intact. The original console was removed to improper storage and was irreparably damaged by water. It had been replaced by a used Ahlborn-Galanti digital organ with midi to run the pipes, but there aren't enough stop tabs to control the entire instrument so there is at least one rank with no way to control it. I played a rededication concert and brought in my Hauptwerk portable setup to fill in the gaps. I don't know if it's still playable or in use as I haven't been back there in several years. The original organ was installed new in 1941 and what was working when I played it; it was a beautiful if fairly small (9 ranks if I remember correctly) romantic organ. -Ken Hager
