2017-07-09 - Identified through online information from Rev. Peter Brandenhoff. -- Updated by Rev. Peter Brandenhoff, who has heard or played the organ. In addition Rev. Peter Brandenhoff gave this as a source of information: Personal. I was Associate Pastor of St. Stanislaus Parish from July 1977 to July 1980. I am an an organist of very moderate skills and was choir director during those years. The Reisner console had been purchased just before my arrival and placed in front of the church to the right of the altar. The earlier console was in the upper balcony and was in deteriorating condition. I found it difficult to play the instrument from the Reisner console because of a time delay in the sound. I suggested to the pastor, Fr. Roy Literski, that a rebuild of the organ was due and that the Reisner console could be placed in the lower balcony (where it now is). The Lurth Organ Company of Mankato, MN, refurbished and added pipework to the organ (e.g. mixtures), removed the upper balcony console and moved the Reisner console to its present location. Richard Lurth of Mankato significantly improved the tonal richness of this instrument and should be given recognition for this. -Database Manager
