Notes

2017-11-29 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.
Identified by James R. Stettner, listing this website as a source of information: http://www.karenmillerbennett.com/zion-lutheran-chattanooga/the-page-pipe-organ-at-zion-chatt/#comment-2036.
On Karen Miller Bennett's page (cited above) there is a photo of the 1913 Confirmation Class in the old church. At the extreme right of the photo, the left side of the case and one stenciled organ pipe are visible. The organ was evidently moved to the new church in 1916, because another confirmation class photo for 1917 shows an organ. It is the right side of the case with 5 pipes showing. If it is the same organ, the pipes were repainted. -Database Manager
