Notes

2018-02-09 - Replaced in 1977 by 4/47 Moller Op. 11205, retaining 181 pipes from the Wicks; the Wicks was relocated to the Stuart Lee Harbour Residence in Annandale, Virginia; reportedly relocated from there to the Arlington Church of the Brethren, Arlington, Virginia. -Database Manager

2023-08-18 - This organ was installed by Organ technician George W. Houdesshel 1881 - 1978, of Baltimore. Houdeshel had his own small organ repair firm and was a Rep./installer for the Wicks Company. The Washington Post for Feb. 3, 1905 pg. 11 highlights a concert at Luther Place Memorial, featuring the new Adam Stein Organ, which replaced a Roosevelt organ, also built by Stein in his Baltimore shop, which was destroyed in a fire. It is possible that this 1947 Wicks uses pipes from the Stein Organ. Several similar, older organs, in Baltimore were renovated by Wicks in the late 1940s. -Steven Bartley
