2018-02-22 - This entry describes a relocation of a new pipe organ. [ed. 2025-02-19] Identified by Randall Newman, the builder. Randall Newman also gave this as a source of information: I removed this organ. It is no longer located there but I have first hand knowledge of the instrument. -Database Manager
2025-02-19 - The organ was apparently moved when the church built a new building. Its original building was dedicated in 1937, suggesting that the organ was moved with the new construction. The Aeolian-Skinner Opus list confirms it was original to the first building. From the church history web page: "In 1935, the congregation purchased property at the corner of Claremont and Helen Streets on which to build its own church, a colonial structure dedicated in 1937. With the dream of opening a parish school, the congregation in 1953 purchased nearly seven acres of land at the intersection of Route 4 and River Road. Grace School, the first Lutheran school in New Jersey, opened in 1956. Ten years later, the congregation sold its Claremont Street sanctuary and moved to River Road, worshiping for the next six years in the school’s foyer." -Paul R. Marchesano
