Notes

2018-08-05 - Updated by Marlon Scott, Organist, who has heard or played the organ. -Database Manager

2020-05-26 - The Rodgers Infinity Series 484 located in The Lutheran Church of Our Saviour - Greenville, South Carolina was installed in October 2019 to replace the 1979 Schantz pipe organ. The pipe organ had incurred mechanical problems within the console, the wind chests. The main reason for the replacement of the organ was due to the fact that the pipework would not hold tuning, due to the location of the pipes in front of a large window wall. The 484 specifications: 84 stops / 443 total voices; 84 primary stops; 179 voice palette voices; 121 library pipe organ voices; 59 orchestral voices. There are 12 general pistons and 5 divisional pistons per manual. There are 23 configurable toe pistons. The combination system features 99 memory levels and the data from which can be stored on a USB memory stick. The organ can have any number of wind-blown pipes added to the console via interface. -Marlon Scott

2024-07-27 - Updated through online information from Jimmy Thompson (July 7, 2024): The Schantz is possibly now connected to a 4-manual Rodgers instrument. https://www.rodgersinstruments.com/news/a-new-4-manual-organ-is-celebrated-in-greenville-south-carolina. -Jim Stettner
