2018-04-02 - This describes a rebuild of an existing organ. Identified by G. Mark Caldwell, who has heard or played the organ. Reuter Opus 564 was originally built and installed in 1939 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Des Moines, Iowa. Story has it the church was closed, and the organ purchased by Mr. Thomas Birkett of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and installed in his home. In 2015 the organ was removed from Mr. Birkett's home and moved to another Lutheran church in Bartlesville and reinstalled by Mr. Birkett and Roger A. Banks. -Database Manager
