2023-09-12 - This was a project of tonal revisions, replacement of windchests in the Swell and Pedal, and enlargement of the physical case of the instrument. On the Great, the 8' Dulciana was moved to the Swell. The 8' Clarabella, which had been removed in the 1967 renovation and stored in a church closet, was restored to the Great. The III Mixture was revoiced. On the Swell, the 4' Spitzflute and 1 1/3' Larigot, added in the 1967 renovation, were removed. A new, repurposed Simmons windchest replaced the Hook and Hastings windchest from the 1967 renovation. A 16' TC Bourdon, 8' Open Diapason, 4' Principal, and 4' Night Horn, all repurposed 1852 Simmons ranks, were added. A III Mixture of new pipework was added. As mentioned, the Dulciana was moved from the Great to the Swell. The II Cornet, added in the 1967 renovation, was made playable as two separate stops: a 2 2/3' Nazard and 1 3/5' Tierce. On the Pedal, the 8' Pommer, added in the 1967 renovation, was made into a 5 1/3' Quint. An 8' Violoncello and 16' Posaune, all new pipework, were added. The original windchest in the back of the case was replaced by C and C-sharp windchests, located in the outer towers of the case. The case was enlarged. The facade is now 6 pipes larger - all speaking pipes of the Pedal Violoncello. The remaining 17 pipes of the facade are from the Great 8' and 4' Principals. -Julius Coyle
