2021-09-20 - The church was sold in the early 1930s to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church (Slovak Synod). Zion remained at the church until they built a new facility in Norridge, IL in 1963. The building was subsequently sold to another church, and has been sold several times since. The neighborhood has been rough since the 1960s, and a fire in 1970 did some damage to the interior of the church. It is unclear if the organ was harmed or if it is still in the building. The church still stands and as of 2021 is home to New True Vine Missionary Baptist Church. -Andrew Schaeffer
