2018-05-03 - Was known as First Baptist Church until being renamed Central Baptist in 1936; voted October 21, 2017, to merge with First Baptist Church of Perrine to form Christ Fellowship Church, with the former Central building serving as the downtown campus; shortly thereafter, the church sold two adjacent parking lots for $28 million to developers, also getting a 300-space parking deck in the bargain. -Database Manager
