2018-05-08 - The church received a 3/39 Zimmer in 1976; it could be that the Schlicker contract was cancelled. -Database Manager
2020-10-24 - The Schlicker was a proposal only. -Jim Stettner
2023-11-15 - It would be interesting to know what happened here. The Diapason article states the church "contracted" for a new three-manual organ with functionally displayed Great and Positiv divisions. Dr. Warren Schmidt, organist of the church, served as consultant. Since the builders were generally who submitted stoplists to the Diapason, either Schlicker or the consultant would have been the submitting party, Schlicker would never have submitted a proposal for publication and I'm not sure the Diapason would have even printed one, and with a signed contract and deposit would have been secure in the idea they were to build and organ here. If the consultant jumped the gun announcing this before it was a done deal, that would have been a breach of protocol that would have irritated any builder who would want to control their own publicity. It doesn't appear on the Schlicker opus list nor was there a job number assigned to this place, although the Schlicker list is incomplete regarding numerous missing job numbers for finished instruments. The withdrawal of a donor or a change in church leadership has cancelled contracts before, so it would be interesting to know just what happened here, seemingly causing the church to not buy another organ for nearly a decade. -Scot Huntington
