2018-05-21 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.
Identified by Steven Bartley, citing information from this publication: Frederick Post, Frederick MD Aug 27, 1912 pg2.
The two articles about the organs include a mention about the first organ being installed, in 1840, by Firth & Hall of NY. That the same organ was rebuilt and enlarged in 1850s when it was installed in the new (present) building, and that the organ was taken in trade by the Johnson organ Co of Westfield, MA, giving the church $500 for the old organ, when the Johnson firm installed a new org of their own, July 2 1876. -Database Manager
