Notes

2018-07-13 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.
Identified by William Dunklin, listing this website as a source of information: http://www.timesreporter.com/news/20171127/musical-miller-of-zoar-made-sweet-music-on-organ-he-built.
The organ was built by Peter Bimeler for use in his flour mill in the religious community of Zoar, Ohio. It is an unconventional instrument of 2 manuals and pedal. The lower manual compass is CC to c 61 keys, the upper manual FF to f 73 keys, the pedal CC to D 27 notes. The facade appears to be all dummies the longest being only about 2 feet tall giving the case the appearance of a large reed organ. The organ remained in a meeting room in the flour mill until the 1930s, at which time it was moved to Zoar Villiage House Number 1 museum. It remains on display as of 2018. -Database Manager
