Notes

2018-07-24 - Information from Hillgreen, Lane & Co. opus list, compiled by Bynum Petty Contract: September 1936. Pipes retained from previous organ. Price: $6,000. -Database Manager

2024-07-20 - The Hillgreen-Lane Organ Dedication took place on Sunday, January 17, 1937. Notes on the back page state, "Some of the old pipes have been used in the our organ, but they have repaired, retoned and revoiced to harmonize with the rest of the organ." -Jim Stettner

2025-01-26 - Philippus Church closed and the building was bought by City Church OTR. The organ console has met the fate of so many others possessed by contemporary churches - removed and most likely discarded. Although the pipework is believed to be in situ, this fine instrument is now silent and unplayable. -Daniel Wicks
