Notes

2018-11-05 - An original installation.
Identified by William Dunklin, citing information from this publication: a vintage postcard.
A vintage postcard circa 1908 shows the organ standing in the left front corner of the building. It is a simple, polychromed facade of 3 flats with minor upper casework. Details in the case suggest the possibility this is Felgemaker organ from the 1880s, but that is speculation only. As of 2018 the congregation remains in this building but contemporary pictures show the old organ no longer in place. -Database Manager

2022-01-17 - It is possible that the organ case shown in this photograph is the Samuel Bohler from 1868, described as a large organ of "28 registers or draw stops". As there is no record of an organ being installed in the interim, I have changed this account to be that of the Bohler. Further investigation may reveal an interim state. See docs tab for the article describing the organ. Sadly, it is incomplete as to the stoplist. -Paul R. Marchesano

2022-10-20 - Further detail on the date of the organ from 19 Apr 1886, *The Philadelphia Inquirer*, in an article detailing the 50th anniversary of the congregation and the pastor's accomplishments: "...and in 1867, our handsome organ was purchased. Quite recently very extensive improvements have been made. The organ was transferred to the right of the chancel, with the reading desk aside of it..." -Paul R. Marchesano
