On page 166 of the parish published online 140th Anniversary history in the chapter titled 'Music' it states, "The next mention of music concerned our Bennett pipe organ. It was purchased in the spring of 1909 and cost in excess of $3,000. Although installation was not yet completed, it was first used for the Easter services." It is further stated, "Largely through Miss Langdon-s influence, Clarence <br>Eddy, then considered the greatest organist in the United States and one of the greatest in the world, came to Helena March 6, 1911, for a recital on the finest organ between Minneapolis and Washington.†On page 109, it says, "Just a note for your familiarity: The Bennett Pipe Organ was installed in the Spring of 1909, at a cost of $3,000, excluding installation charges. The Schulmerich Tower Bells were <br>installed at a Dedication Service on September 13, 1945, at a cost of $3,100.00." And then on page 113, it states, ""The 12-rank pipe organ, was manufactured by the Bennett Pipe Organ Co. of Rock Island, Illinois, and originally installed in our sanctuary in 1909. For many years, the console was attached to the rear wall of the chancel, so that the organist needed a "rear view mirror†to see the cues from choir director or pastor.†<snip> "By the early 60-s, the self-standing console as we now know it, was installed." -Database Manager
