2018-12-10 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.
Identified by William Dunklin, citing information from this publication: a vintage postcard.
A vintage postcard circa 1914 shows the organ standing in a chamber with a large pointed arch opening facing into the chancel and a similar though slightly smaller opening facing the nave. The lower casework is restrained frame and panel supporting a simple pipe fence. There is no upper casework.

The postcard shows the name "California Organ Company" which is part of the convoluted corporate linage of Murray Harris, Johnston, California and ultimately Robert-Morton organ companies.

The organ was significantly rebuilt in 1971 by Abbott & Sieker. -Database Manager
