Notes

2019-02-02 - The organ was originally built by Pilcher in 1924. Three ranks were replaced and a new Reuter console installed by Geisler in 1961. Geisler added additional stops and a zimbelstern in 1973. In 1992, the organ was rebuilt by Range Organ Company, and work included a new organ case built by Denney Organ Works. Range also installed a different, used console (appears to be originally a Schantz console) in 1999. The work by Dr. Jason Alden included replacement of the failing reeds in each division, the addition of 3 ranks to form a new Choir division, and rewiring to allow the organist to select sounds from a variety of divisions. The new pipes were made by A. R. Schopp's. -Database Manager

2019-02-02 - A celebration of the completed organ project was held on October 21, 2018, with Kiyo and Chiemi Watanabe at the console. The concert was given to the Glory of God in memory of Hester Beck Willis, John Todd Willis, Jr., and John W. “Jack” Parnum, former church organist who died in 1918, while serving in World War I. -Database Manager
