Notes

2019-02-11 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.
Identified by James R. Stettner, who gave this as the source of the information: I saw a video of it on the All Saints Anglican Facebook page.
The organ is at the front, center of the sanctuary behind a large facade. The console is in fixed position center beneath it. -Database Manager

2024-11-03 - From The Hamilton Spectator (September 22, 1906): "The organ now being placed in Erskine Church is in design one of the best in the city. The case is made of quartered oak and in style is Gothic. The center arches over the pulpit platform. The console is being placed some distance from the organ in front of the choir platform, and is itself a handsome place of work, being made of quartered oak with walnut trimmings inside, and oak roll top. The action is tubular pneumatic throughout, and it gives some idea of the immensity of the undertaking, when it is mentioned that this action required over two miles of the finest leading tubing to connect the organ with the manuals. The organ is fitted with communal wind chests, and an ample supply of air is furnished by an 'orgoblow,' a combination electric motor and fan, made by the Organ Power company of Hartford, Connecticut. The organ has three manuals and the quality of the tone is all that could be desired, while the action is remarkable for its rapid repeating qualities ... Th Morgan was built by the D. W. Darn company, of Woodstock, and reflects great credit on the builders, and also speaks volumes for the enterprise of Erskine church, the purchasers of this magnificent instrument." -Andrew Henderson
