Notes

2022-02-18 - The organ is currently in storage and may be partially reused in a new organ to be installed in the Chapel. -Nicholas Koch

2024-07-11 - All pipework, console, regulators, swell shades, and chest framework was removed from storage and saved by Koch & Co. Prior to the storage facility’s demolition. The bottom boards with pneumatic action was left on site. All pneumatics were previously redone with synthetic materials and white glue in the 1970s, and were not salvageable. Casework and swell enclosures could not be located and likely were destroyed when the chapel was renovated. There was no interest by the University administration to further pursue reinstallation in the chapel despite best efforts by multiple companies. At the time of writing this note, negotiations are under way to restore and reinstall the console at Holy Trinity Church in Dayton. The pipework from this organ is being strategically reused in Koch & Company organs opus 1, 2, and 4 and will remain in Dayton, Ohio. No tonal alterations will be made to the pipes in their new homes except for corrective voicing and regulation. Final published specifications for those instruments will notate what ranks those are. -Nicholas Koch
