This organ started out as a 1910 Hall Organ Co. electric-action
two-manual instrument for the Andover Theological Seminary,
subsequently rebuilt by the Frazee Organ Co. in 1919.
It was moved to South Church and rebuilt again by W. W. Laws. ca. 1932.
In 1962, it was incorporated into an Andover Organ Co. electric-action
rebuild with tonal design work by Charles Fisk with case and engineering
by Leo Constantineau. The Bozeman Organ, basically a new organ
utilizing many existing parts, includes the fabric and pipework
of the old organ, with major additions. The original Andover pipe work
was incorporated without alteration except as noted.
Reeds and mixtures were added in the manual divisions, and the layout
was modified to accommodate the new keydesk and mechanical action.
