2021-03-22 - The organ was relocated to St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy, Illinois in late Summer, 2020. According to a March 23, 2021 email from Rev. James P. Brobst, *"It was moved because the original chapel had been used for a missionary seminary community of up to 23 residents plus a larger crowd on feast days. The instrument was installed when there were more seminarians and also the chapel was used for larger crowds on a more regular basis. In more recent years, the class size is down greatly and also no longer used for any public services. 6 widely scaled ranks (thankfully unusual for the time!) were always a bit much for such a small group, even with the original usage. With a recent renovation and downsizing of the entire building, the organ would have had to be removed, stored and then reinstalled. The costs were very high for something so outsized to current local needs. The instrument was donated to a larger congregation where it now receives regular professional use and enhances the worship of a much larger congregation than would be possible from a community of 8-12 missionaries from all over the world." * -Jim Stettner
