2019-07-12 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. <br>Identified by Steven Bartley, citing information from this publication: Pittsburgh Press - 1/5/1895, 1/6/1895, 1/13/1895.<br>The three articles indicate that Stein had recently been the head of the Roosevelt organ Co, Baltimore branch, and it was there that several organs for Pittsburgh churches were built. (Roosevelt company closed in 1892, notices in NY papers state that Stein was awarded some rights to complete some Roosevelt contracts, then thereafter use the Roosevelt patents. This writer finds that Stein used his own company name, starting in 1895. The only details of the instrument given was that it was not as large as a number of organs, in Pittsburgh, which Stein had built. -Database Manager
