2019-08-04 - This is a new home for an organ that was altered when it was moved from another location.
<br>Identified by William Dunklin, who has heard or played the organ.<br>The original installation included 2 free standing cases, one for the Great, one for the Swell, Pedal divided between the two. An exposed Positiv was located in the center. In this installation, the cases are again separated, though here by the opening to the church's baptistery. The former exposed Positiv forms the basis of an enlarged Choir Division located in the church's existing single organ chamber. Some Wicks ranks predating 1982 were retained for the Choir division. The Casavant console was retained and rebuilt using digital switching and combination action. -Database Manager
2021-08-04 - Also from William B. Dunklin, who assisted in the organ's removal: In May 2017 the organ was purchased by First Christian Church, Bowling Green, Kentucky. It was removed from the now-closed United Presbyterian Church, Shawnee, and put in storage in Knoxville Tennessee by B. Rule & Company. B. Rule will renovate the organ for First Christian beginning in 2018. -Jeff Scofield
