2020-05-28 - With the exception of the addition of an electric blower, and a necessary restoration following tornado damage to the church in 1984, the organ is in original condition. The instrument is maintained by John Struve. A plaque on the organ reads: “To the glory of God and in thankful commemoration of His mercies during one hundred years ——————1819-1919——————— This organ is placed here by the Members and friends of St. John’s Church Cavan November Seventh 1920” 'One generation shall praise thy works to another.'
