2020-09-03 - The original 1916 Hinners was a tracker-action instrument. It is free-standing and encased in the rear gallery with a pipe fence facade. -Jim Stettner
2020-09-03 - In 2001, the congregations of the old St. Bartholomew and St. Columba Parishes were merged into one at a new location. The old building is slated for demolition. The organ was examined by Joe Granger of Granger Pipe Organs in Lansing, Michigan on September 2, 2020. It was found to be in very poor condition and unplayable. Case panels had been removed. Pipework had been vandalized and stolen. And the organ inside and out was liberally coated in pigeon guano. -Jim Stettner
2023-01-29 - The building was razed and apartments built on the site. It is said that at least some of the organ was removed for possible reuse. -DENNIS A STECKLEY
2025-04-02 - I visited the church in November 2020. The building was unsecured and open to pigeons and vermin, and it was obvious the organ had not been playable for MANY years. The building was demolished in December 2020. https://www.therepublic.com/2020/12/11/old-st-barts-demolition-stirs-emotions-among-the-faithful/ Information received online from Tom Nichols on 2025-04-02 -Paul R.
