Stettner. -- To answer the question/confusion preceding: the organ is 13-ranks, but has 16 stops (drawknobs) if you count the Swell Tremolo. The organ is free-standing and encased in an elevated front gallery. The case is 3-sectional having 27 pipes arranged: 7-13-7. NOTES
The organ is free-standing and encased in the front gallery. The keydesk is attached
and projecting with a lid that lifts to form a music rack. The drawknobs are in terraced
stopjambs on both sides of the manuals. The 3-sectional façade contains 27 gold-painted
pipes arranged: 7 – 13 – 7. The nameplate is engraved with opus 428, which on the Johnson
opus list is listed for the Congregational Church in New Canaan, CT.
