The Methodists of Milan, after considerable investigation, have placed an order for a new pipe organ with the Felgemaker Organ Company of Erie, Pa., the building of which will be commenced at once. It is hoped that the new organ will be installed in the Milan church by the middle of October and dedicated immediately thereafter. It will be a valuable addition to the church equipment. "Fine Church Organ," Sandusky (OH) Star-Journal, Thursday, November 9, 1911, 10, Newspapers.com, https://www.newspapers.com/image/19221926. MILAN, O., Nov. 9.—Including the new organ which was dedicated here Sunday, the Milan Methodist church has made improvements costing about $3,100. The new organ is considered one of the finest in Erie county and was built by the Felgemaker Organ Co., of Erie, Pa., at a cost of $1,700 [no period sic]. It has an oak case and gold pipes and the console is detached so that the organist faces the audience. Power is furnished by an electric motor, the action being tubular- pneumatic. "Amid Flues and Reeds" (column), The Diapason, December 1911, [8]. The Felgemaker Company has built an organ for the Methodist church of Milan, Ohio, which was dedicated by George L. Beare. It has a detachable console and is operated by a Kinetic blower. A fire that gutted the interior of the church destroyed the organ on Sunday morning, December 21, 1930, as reported in the Sandusky (OH) Register, Tuesday, December 23, 1930, 2 (see under "Documents"). -Charles Eberline
