2021-03-26 - An article in The Times (Streator, Illinois), July 18, 1912, reprinted a history pamphlet from the church which mentions the organ being installed at a cost of $2500, of which $1545 was donated by one George A. Schmid in honor of the pastor, Fr. Dominic, celebrating his silver jubliee as a priest. The organ was still in use in 1950 according to the same newspaper. It was replaced in 1957 by Kilgen. -Paul R.
