2021-04-10 - Identified from the Twin Cities AGO Organ List and the 1929 Moller opus list. -- This organ was originally built for St. Paul's P.E. Church in Detroit, Michigan. It is listed on the Moller opus list as being 3-manuals and 48 registers. It was evidently relocated by Moller to St. Paul's Episcopal in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1921 after the Minnesota church had moved from downtown to a new location "up-the-hill" in 1912. The had brought their existing Hook & Hastings along, but could evidently not afford to re-install it at the time of the move. It was placed in storage and subsequently sold to another congregation. So the transplanted Detroit Moller replaced the never re-installed Hook & Hastings. -Jim Stettner
