2021-04-22 - From organist John Birdsong: "The old pipe organ (which hasn't worked in over 20 years) was in the rear chamber with the console in the chancel. The choir is in the chancel too, which must have made for some frustration when they tried to sing with the old pipe organ. Also: "The rooms behind (the slotted grilles in the chancel) are now used for storage but were obviously designed as pipe chambers when the church was built (1968) -- they had concrete floors and sealed hard-surface walls. At the time, though, the old pipe organ (brought from the old church) was installed in a hastily-added chamber above the rear of the nave and the front chambers were taken over for storage." https://organforum.com/forums/forum/blower-room/general-chat/24884-organ-speaker-placement-in-church -Rev.
