2021-06-10 - Identified through the Twin Cities AGO Organ list, courtesy of Jayson R. Engquist. -- Originally built for the Edward Wellington Backus family home in Lake of the Isles, Minneapolis. In 1941, the organ was donated to Andrew Riverside Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis and installed by an unknown person or firm. When the church suffered a partial structural collapse in 2002, the organ was saved and removed by Dr. Michael P. LuBrant and installed by him here in his residence in Hastings, Minnesota. -Jim Stettner

2024-10-22 - This entry represents the installation of a used organ, previously located once before. Updated through online information from the owner, Dr. Michael LuBrant (October 10, 2024): "I am the current owner of the organ and it is set up and playing in my home. The organ was originally 13 ranks (now 16); writing inside the swell motors notes a date of 1923. Opus list references indicate #6695 was most likely from 1923." -Jim Stettner

2024-10-22 - From the Twin Cities AGO Organ List website, "Notes: Originally in Backus family mansion on Lake of the Isles. Moved to Andrew-Riverside Presbyterian on University and 4th Ave. SE in 1941. The building partially collapsed in 2000 and Michael LuBrant saved most of it to his home in Hastings. Specification shown is "as built". Three stops were added without affecting the original and could be removed. -- Dr. Michael LuBrant -Jim Stettner
