Notes

2004-10-30 - Status Note: There 1990. -Database Manager

2004-10-30 - Fox shows this as Opus 506 from Church of the Messiah, Unitarian, Chicago, IL (3-26), one rank altered. In danger. was on list as #507, which was a 2-15 built for First Presbyterian, Decatur, IL. The former is probably correct as the Decatur organ is marked butchered one version of the Roosevelt list. -Database Manager

2009-11-27 - Updated through on-line information from John Gouwens. -- Organ was restored by Rutz; original action was beyond restoration, so rebuilt as a (very heavy) tracker action. Stop action is electrified (but, alas, very sluggish) sliders, no combination. Church itself is in some jeopardy, leaving the future of this organ in some question. -Database Manager

2012-11-26 - Updated through online information from George Dobie. -- Current congregation does not use. Trustee Board looking for suitable new home/owner. 11-2012 -Database Manager

2014-02-27 - Updated through online information from George Dobie. -- The First Congregational Church Building is in the process of a rent to buy contract. The organ is not being sold. New congregation does not use organ in their service. Therefor currently looking for a new home for opus 506. A sale or a move to a more suitable venue. George Dobie, Trustee -Database Manager
