Notes

2021-08-30 - This organ was built for the Lake Avenue Baptist Church, Rochester, New York, and sold for $2,000 to the First Methodist Episcopal Church (later Pine Street Methodist), Bangor, Maine, in 1902. Pine Street Methodist relocated elsewhere in 1963. It is unkown who relocated the organ here. When the Pine Street congregation left their building in 1963, the organ stayed behind; despite pleas to remove the organ to avoid vandalism, the new owners insisted on retaining it, and the instrument sustained substantial damage. Fire destroyed the church building in August 1982. -Paul R. Marchesano
