2021-11-07 - This entry represents the installation of a new organ, based upon the builder's website. In the 'News' section, it states,* "A new three-manual, 27-voice, 32-rank organ under construction at the Schoenstein & Co. factory is to be installed at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Waco, Texas as part of a major campus-wide expansion and renovation of this rapidly growing parish. The main organ is in a north chancel chamber. Unenclosed stops for congregational support and children’s choir accompaniment along with the Pedal Open Wood are in the west gallery. Acoustical consultation is by Paul Scarbrough of Akustiks LLC, Norwalk, CT. The tonal design is focused on support of the Anglican service. The organist and director of music is Eugene Lavery."* May 21, 2021. -Jim Stettner
2021-11-07 - The organ was to have been installed and completed in-time for Christmas, 2021. But according to the 'Epistle' parish newsletter for Fall 2021, page 5: *"It is with gratitude for the support from the parish for the Renew & Restore Campaign, that we want to share with you the revised calendar for the completion of the beautiful renovations of our historic church. Between delays in permits, extensive lead time for the manufacturing of certain critical items such as light fixtures, and the general tenuous availability of materials and workers, the Building Committee, Architects, Contractors, and Vestry representatives have agreed that an extension is both prudent and necessary for us to be able to complete the work in the Nave prior to the delivery of the organ. In light of these unanticipated and extenuating circumstances, and knowing that there is no way we would be able to occupy the space before Christmas, the Schoenstein Organ Company’s CEO graciously suggested moving their installation to January 2022. We are delighted and very appreciative of their flexibility which will enable us to complete the entire scope of interior renovations before turning the build-ing over to the organ builders as they complete the work of renewing our worship space."* -Jim Stettner
