2021-11-20 - Identified from a post by church Music Drector, Jordan Provost on Facebook Pipe Organ Garage Sale on Friday, November 20, 2021. -- *"We are upgrading our church organ in southern Illinois and would like to send our current instrument to a good home/homes. It is a hodgepodge instrument that was assembled in pieces by the Plog Organ Company. The electrical system has begun to fail — as all wiring is wrapped in cotton, it would cost more to replace the wiring system than it is to purchase a new instrument. All equipment is for sale. The blower is a Meidinger. The flute pipes are lovely, but the organ does not support congregational singing. It would be ideal for a smaller space or a home organ. Price is negotiable for all of it or for parts. Willing to piece it out if desired. We are NOT shipping. Local pick-up only. I can help you disassemble and haul items out of the organ loft. Questions? Reach out and I’ll get back to you ASAP!"* Asking price was initially $15,000.00, but this was quickly reduced. The pipe organ will be replaced by a new pipeless instrument. -Jim Stettner
