2022-01-01 - With source material taken from "History of St Andrew's Church" (1919): this instrument replaced an earlier pipe organ (installed in 1857) and was reported to have cost $650, with the old organ taken in trade for $200. It is presumed that this organ was broken up for parts in 1924 by C. Franklin Legge/Legge Organ Co, upon the installation of a second-hand Edward Lye & Sons organ. -Andrew Henderson
