2004-10-30 - Was St. James Episcopal, now a merger of St. James and St. Timothy churches. Concave radiating pedalboard & balanced Sw. added at unknown date prior to 1966. Renovated and altered by Sidney Chase in 1966: new metal trackers and squares, Flute Harmonique 4' replaced with F.J.N Tallman pipes from middle-c; and the Melodia & St. Diapason were denicked. The organ is in a long narrow chamber with two facades-- the larger faces the chancel and the smaller facade over the console faces the nave. The original double-rise reservoir and Ross Water Engine were replaced mid-century with a blower and supply-house regulator. The brick church, built in 1849 with a 1914 bell tower is listed on the National Register. In 2020, only a Sunday morning prayer service takes place in this historic church. -Database Manager
