2022-02-07 - Built originally for the State Street Methodist Church in Springfield, Massachusetts, and was probably installed in the front of that church. When it was replaced in Springfield by a larger Austin organ, Op. 56, 1901 (which has since burned), the Johnson was moved to Thompson, where the case had to be cut down drastically for the organ to fit in the rear gallery. -- *1994 OHS Handbook* -Paul R.
